Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Assistant / Second Shooter to support our content creation efforts. This role is ideal for someone with photography or videography experience who is available on short notice for shoots in the Albany, Latham, and Saratoga areas. As a 1099 independent contractor, tasks will be assigned as needed, offering flexibility while gaining hands-on experience in professional content production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist lead photographer/videographer during photo and video shoots.

• Capture secondary angles, behind-the-scenes footage, or additional photography as requested.

• Help set up and break down equipment, including lighting, cameras, and props.

• Ensure all shots meet creative and technical standards.

• Occasionally assist with editing or post-production tasks as needed.

• Maintain a professional demeanor on client sites and communicate effectively with the team.​

Requirements:

• Proven experience in photography or videography.

• Own camera preferred but not required.

• Basic equipment (lighting, tripod, etc.) provided.

• Availability for shoots in Albany, Latham, and Saratoga areas.

• Ability to work independently and follow creative direction.

• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and professionalism.

• Must be able to commit to 5–10 hours per week on an as-needed basis.
